This is a 1985 Guild Bluesbird Brian Setzer model.  I purchased one just like this in 1986 from a Guild representative.  The specific guitar was featured at the NAMM show the previous year.  This was the best guitar I ever owned.  I sold this guitar in 1995.  My wife and I needed the money to help pay for our one year study abroad stay in France.  We were attending college.  The body was solid curly maple.  The neck had an ebony fretboard.  The pickups were EMG's.  This is when Guild was made in the USA.  What a cool guitar!

This is Glen Campbell, and what a great guitarist.  This multi-talented musician can write, play and sing.  The guitar solo on this song is wonderful.  This guy is hip.

The band MUSE consists of school friends Matthew Bellamy (lead vocals, lead guitar, piano, keyboards, key tar), Christopher Wolstenholme (bass, vocals, keyboards, Misa Kitara, harmonica), and Dominic Howard (drums, percussion, synthesizers).  A fabulous band all around.  Bellamy as a guitarist plays complex figures while still keeping melody as his focus.

A short hiatus - for a very good reason ...

Susanne is teaching her first quarter up at Western Washington University, so we're having to skip a couple of weeks on the blog as she adjusts to her busy schedule.

In the meantime, however - and as a little celebration for her good fortune - here's a link to her favorite Faces song ...

Flying ... by the Faces

... and another fun video of the boys, performing live at the BBC in 1971 ...

Susanne says, "Woody's playing on the first one is divine ... and Ronnie's bass lines on the second are BRILLIANT!"  :)
